The Art That Made Me
Or, This is why I'm like this...
Art and Literature has always been such an important part of my life, though i probably didnt consider it to be as much when I was younger. But now, as I look back, I realise that art in its many forms, has been foundational to who i am as a person, as well as providing a constant, sometimes surprising and sometimes private signpost back to key points in my past. Whether its a book read on a significant holiday, a movie that inspired me or a song that provided a soundtrack to an important expereinece.
As such, i have recent begun buiilding lists of these cutural artifacts, if only to serve as a memory book for myself, but possible a curiostiy to others.
I havent yet explored literary listing sites fully, though i have created a Goodreads profile, which might be as good a place as any to list the formative books, but until now its mosly music and movies that I have actual curated lists for. I will however, single out some important books, as well as artworks, in their own sections.
For Movies, I have curated a Letterboxd list, along with the various other movie lists i have built so far. As for music, that comes in the form of a vastly expansive Spotify playlist.
Imporant Music - or, this is why Im like this - Spotify I will stress that this is HUGE. Music is VERY important to me and many many songs hold a signficance to me,be it small or large. So as present, the playlist stands at 788 tracks, for a run time of 55 and a half hours!!
